Title received it's license to operate in Los Angeles county as
an underwritten title company from the California Department of
Insurance in 1967. In 1981 we expanded operations to encompass Southern
California with offices in Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange, San Diego,
San Bernardino, and Riverside counties. We continued to grow with
the addition of the National Accounts Division-allowing for placement
of title and escrow orders throughout the United States. In October
of 2003 Gateway was acquired by LandAmerica Financial Group, Inc.
Headquartered in Richmond Virginia, LandAmerica is a leading provider
of real estate transaction services and on Fortune magazine's 2004
list of most admired companies.
Gateway
prides itself as being a service oriented title company. With centralized
departments, such as Word Processing, we are able to deliver preliminary
reports and title policies to our clients faster, more economically,
and more accurately than our competitors. A centralized Payoff Department
allows us to delivertimely and efficient disbursements to lenders.
Our Customer Service department, which enjoys the reputation of
being the best in the business, uses the latest technology available
in order to provide our customers with property profiles, comparable
property values, vesting information, legal descriptions, farm packages
and other essential information with speed and accuracy.

Gateway
Title Company, a subsidiary of LandAmerica Financial Group Incorporated's
Transnation Title Insurance Company, provides a wide range of real
estate transaction services backed by the financial strength and
stability of a Fortune 500 company. Title commitments and policies
on both residential and commercial properties including co-ops,
condominiums, leasehold estates, easements, and many other interests
in real property, are underwritten exclusively through Transnation
Title Insurance Company, also a subsidiary of LandAmerica Financial
Group, Inc. As part of our title operations, Gateway Title is covered
by Lloyd's of London under a policy that provides $50M worth of
E&O and fidelity coverage.
